Trade scenarios could involve guard Cuttino Mobley -- who can become a free agent at the end of the season -- Stevenson, Bradley and Hunter."</div> Full Story: http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/orl-...ports-headlines I wouldn't mind trades involving Stevenson, Bradley, or Hunter - but Mobley is great here. I'd hate to see him go.
They better not give up Mobley even if they do get a good post presense they would still not gain anything, because all the scoring that he gives you will only make up for Mobleys scoring. What happened to the franchise saying that it would not part with Mobley? Who starts if he is traded anyway do we move Hedo into the starting rotation?
I agree that the Magic need to address those needs but if your giving up Cuttino Mobley, I say Hell No. Cuttino can shoot the lights out and there arent many players at his position or his caliber, if the Magic need to get stronger at those positions trade someone like Kasun and Bradley in a package but dont give up Mobley. Bradley, Stevenson and Hunter are all good players to trade but think about it, what can you get back for those guys? Nothing. Hunter is good but Stevenson and Bradley are some wasted picks.
You're not getting anyone good with Stevenson, Hunter and/or Bradley, especially no PG or low post player. And Cuttino is the most likely other player to be traded and I see why, he'll be free agent in summer and will likely demand a salary rise which we won't give him but other teams might, so we would lose him to free agency but we also couldn't land another FA for the money with his skills, so it seems the best to trade him now and get equal value back. But this all would make the Bogans for Hunter trade look more and more stupid. And what are we going to do with DeClerq? He seems to be back in a few games but I don't see how he could contribute to this team / how he could fit in with this team. Weisbrod needs to make some moves, hopefully he does the right ones.
Coranor, I agree with you fully. They need to trade Mobley because right now they could get someone that is pretty decent down in the post which they desperatly need right now. I know that Cuttino is a good attribute to this team, but they need to get rid of him. He will most likely not come back next and if he does come back then he will want more money. I say trade him now or he is just going to want more money at the end of the season and they are going to be stuck without a center.

Cato has another year on his contract, but Cuttino has a player option this summer and as of now, it seems that he will opt out and look for more money. The problem is, we don't have any starting material at SG right now and only one Backup SG in Stevenson, but we have more than enough SF (Hill, Hedo, Augmon and Garrity - plays both forward positions I think). And moving Francis to SG and Nelson becomes our starting PG is just not a good idea.
True. What I was saying was that they need to get rid of him before he screws them over royally by need coming back after next season. Now I know that Cato is good and all but you really think he is someone we need to hang on to? Also, I think that maybe we could have Hedo play at SG if Mobley leaves? Just a thought.
Weisbrod (and the coaching staff likely) did poor this summer to let go of Bogans and in my opinion Zaza. Those two pieces would be a perfect fit for us right about now. They can't look back though, so who do you give up? This is a tough one. Cat is someone we should try very hard to keep around IMO, but seems to be the only real trade bait we can dangle. I think that getting rid of Cat-O would be a mistake since he's the best center we've had since the big man now down in south florida. I'm really stumped in who I think should be considered. I have no idea except for of course Stevenson, Hunter and Bradley. Are they tradeable to get someone worthy in either position? What do you all think?
We might not get someone star claiber for stevenson, hunter, and bradley but dont forget declerq he is a center but i dont think we need 1 we did good w/o cato and maybe will take howards or batties playing time. On the mobley note if he is traded or leaves there goes most of our chemestry we have 3 people who play together through houstan and now are playing like they should here in orlando. A trade possibiltys are mostly going to be someone to fill in the pg/sg spot and should be but not for mobley he is wanted on this team and has his days even though turk and PG are 3 point threats cat is more of one and if you put 3 of them out on the court w/ maybe battie and cato you got 3 3point shooters and 2 good rebounders. A trade i would like to see is someone to clear up our cap space like Hunter,Bradley,Stevenson,Declerq deal maybe a 2 for 1. Think of the possible small nba teams they will need declerq as a big man and hunter and bradley as rebounders and stevonson and a passer and shooter maybe trade w/ sacremento for eddie house have him a place to stay or new orleans w/ jackson he doesnt want to be there or boston they are having chemistry promblems and might need a change or even new york as they are looking to load off there roster(Penny Hardaway) and even atlanta w/ delk or memphis w/ jason williams i think him and stevio would get along but think of trade possibilites with those four as i did and post em i wanna see what other people think of there own trades and my trades. (Cat is not going ne where he belongs in otown)!

Weisbrod likes him a lot, and he already proved that he isn't starting potential at the 5, so not really that many teams would want him. Believe it or not, but with a 2 for 1 out of those four players (Hunter, Bradley, Stevenson, DeClerq) we don't get anyone who could help us out at PG or as a low post scorer. I don't know about Eddie House, but I think he is an undersized SG, so that wouldn't really fit with us. Penny just has a too large contract (he gets more money than Steve Francis and about the same as Hill), there is no way we could get him. Delk, see House. And the only way we can get Jason Williams is when we include Mobley. Now about Cat, he already mentioned that he wants a pay rise after this season, and when he doesn't get it from us, he'll get it from another franchise, and we are left without a starting SG and it's likely that we can't land a replacement for him. Don't get me wrong, I don't want Cuttino to go but he is the one and only trade bait we have to get rid of some bulk we have. The players I like to get rid of are: Hunter, Bradley, Stevenson, DeClerq and Garrity (some teams have already asked about Garrity but Weisbrod doesn't want to trade him).
Garrity i would like to keep, he showed against the bobcats what he can do and i really think that he does give us a nice option on hte bench. Def deshawn, hunter, bradly or declerq to go, they are proping up the roster and dont need them
Well, the game against the Bobcats was one of very few good games for Garrity so far this season. He struggled to get his shot going and to get minutes in this team, especially since this team is so deep at SF and I don't think he is the perfect fit for us at PF which he plays as well. He's basically like Hedo but I don't think need two of those.
What i was saying with trading was my ideas i would like to see but i wanted to get cap room to give mobley the money to stay and get some room on our bench and people to fill in for our guards. Ex: trade 4 players get 2 with cap room and offer cat some money for him to stay most chemistry promblems gone with negative trade me offers and positive chemistry with cat and stevio playing together. With PG he is a possible trade bait if we get someone who is consistent then maybe trade pat for him but he needs to bring his game every time hes in. I like to see him drive it he did it twice this year and i would like to see more it surprises people and when he did it it caused them to foul him. I hope we do something quick w/ deshawn, bradley, hunter, and declerq beacuse we could use some help for our playoff run.
^The problem with that is, when we trade 4 players for 2, the cap is still the same unless we get expiring contracts and now looking through all other teams which expiring contracts they have and would match with us, etc.p.p. that's a bit too much work. In addition, if we do something like this, there is no way those added 2 players would be useful in any way for a playoff run, we only would get crap with expiring contracts. Also I don't think that's what Weisbrod is going to do. As I said, I think the most likely thing going to happen is that we dump one or even two of those together with Cuttino for another decent player (and a filler).
