<div class="quote_poster">Quoting :</div><div class="quote_post">Twenty-six losses later, rubble is everywhere. The blessing is a burden. That "C," still so distinguishable, seems to have a scarlet tint to it.

Listen closely, and you hear rumblings that teammates interpret McGrady's quiet approach as standoffish and that they wish he would take more interest in them. You hear of the coaching staff's displeasure that McGrady hasn't handled losing better and fear that a time might come when he fully disengages.

Publicly, it's all hidden beneath kind and optimistic words. The Magic never would give up on McGrady or lash out to the media about him.

Nevertheless, the losing has unveiled a new layer of frustration. The latest involves the superstar.

This is not McGrady's team. No way. He just plays on it.

He is in deep manure trying to lead this team. Sometimes, you get the feeling he'd like to lead these guys out in the country and throw them on the side of the road.

And this is where a very public and harsh maturation process intensifies for McGrady. His ability mandated this leadership role. Now that he has it, everything has fallen apart.

"This whole season, everything, has just been a big challenge," McGrady said.</div>

Techinacly is isn't McGradys team it's the person who bought the team's team.
McGrady plays a big roll for the Magic. He has that big C on his jersey for a reason. He leads this team through the good and the rare bad. Yeah sometimes he lets his mouth gets the best of him but other than that he's a great leader IMO. So you can say it's his team but this article isn't about all that is it? Great article.

He needs to take responsibility and watch players such as AI, Paul Pierce, KG, TD, etc. who are/were by themselves and lead them into the playoffs/far into the playoffs. He needs to take notes on those players and perform like that. Hopefully he will change his attitude this season.
