Magic place DeClercq on injured list, activate Hunter, Orlando Sentinel

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Magic center/forward Andrew DeClercq might opt for season-ending surgery to correct problems with his right knee.

DeClercq, who was returned to the injured list Thursday after having magnetic resonance imaging, said he had a meeting with team doctor Joe Billings to explore his options. DeClercq had said a few weeks ago that he would need additional surgery this offseason. He had surgery last summer and missed the first 36 games of the season while rehabilitating his right knee.

But a crack below his right kneecap has been giving him problems.

"If I'm going to have surgery, I'm going to have it soon," said DeClercq, noting he will need a six-month recovery. "I really don't want to be on and off the injured list. We might as well give guys like Brandon [Hunter] or Mario [Kasun] a chance to show what they can do."</div>

    DeClercq considers surgery, Orlando Sentinel

After 8 games, 6.1 MpG, 1.1 PpG and 1.3 RpG DeClerq is back on the IL and it looks like it's a season ending injury. It's the same knee he had problems before and if he opts for another surgery he's out. If indeed he's out for the season, I think he's out of the NBA. This is his last year with us and I don't see us signing him to another contract nor do I see any other team wanting him.

I would've prefered Kasun over Bradley to come off the IL, especially with Catos liability to injury.

Does anyone actually like Andrew except maybe Davis? He's as useless as an old lady with arthritis. No joke.

Finally i hope he opts out, when i went to the Rockets game Hunter was out there shooting for about 20 mins and making most of them. He got 7 points vrs Bostan and i would like to see him play maybe w/ our small line-up Nelson, Stevenson, PG, Hunter, and Howard. And to note iam very glad so see stevenson in the line-up when i was at the game i think i was the only one to clap for him. A side note what do we do with 2 open spots sign free agents or wait for the offseason and sign some highly valuable FAs(Mobley) i would also like James Posey he is great every game Vrs the magic and is a very good defender maybe he will be better on the magic.

Finally if we can get rid of the man that does nothing I will be so happy.

I feel sorry for andrew, it must be infuriating, but he really does nothing in a game, absolutly nothing. Kasun is a better player when he comes back, and hes younger and stronger by a country mile.

Hopefully we can sign some lucrative FA, mobley will be awsome, if we can bring him back, but thats sceptical. Hopefully stevie can lure him in. What a team that would be then.
