<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>New York Daily News - Isiah Thomas is not the only person who thinks the Knicks have a shot of making it to the playoffs. Now Magic Johnson, the guy who the New York Daily News says recommended Thomas to run the Knicks to executive Steve Mills, says that there is no way that New York will miss out on post season action this season. "They're going to make the playoffs and be a tough seven or eight seed," Johnson said. "They're settling into their roles. There's no way I don't see them not getting in as the seven or eight seed, especially in the East."</div> Source Right now the Knicks are only 5 games behind New Jersey, who is the 8th seed (slipping out fast, though), but I think Magic is a little out of his tree for going out on a limb like this. The Knicks are a joke, and I don't think they are going to make the playoffs. They are playing .500 ball as of late - that's cute, but I'm not so sure they'll climb their way up to a low playoff seed, even in the East.
after the top 6 (Celtics, Pistons, Magic, Cavs, Raptors and Wizards) the east in a joke, so it doesn't surprise me if they did, but it wouldn't be surprised if they didn't, so ill wait til the middle march to see how accurate Magic is
They could make it, but they're aren't getting past the first round. Lets say they make it as an 7th or 8th seed. Who do they face? Either Boston or Pistons, none of which will lose to the Knicks. End of story.
When tankfest 2008 begins in a month or so, the Knicks will be trying to win. That's how the Warriors and Magic got in last year.
