<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Francis, also an all-star, likely would be traded elsewhere. The Magic have talked with Seattle about a Francis-for-Allen trade, also with lesser players involved from both sides.

The Magic, at the same time, have talked to the Miami Heat about a trade that would send Mobley and forward Drew Gooden in exchange for Butler, their promising, second-year forward. Gooden has played especially well against the Heat in his career, averaging 22.7 points and eight rebounds per game against them last season.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Among the lesser deals the Magic also are exploring is the return of popular point guard Darrell Armstrong, who played last season in New Orleans. His absence last season contributed to their collapse. He would fit well in a lineup that included Allen, Butler and center/forward Emeka Okafor, the possible No. 1 pick in the draft.

    Full Story

Man, if the Magic could land all those 3 players I'd be saying, "T-Mac who?" [IMG]

Getting Allen, Butler, and Armstrong would be MAJOR upgrades.

Once again, I'm gonna do the projected line-up  [IMG] :

    C-Cato
    PF-Okafor/Howard
    SF-Butler
    SG-Allen
    PG-Hill

    Bench:Armstrong,Garrity,Bogans,Stevenson,Declreq, 2nd round pick

That's a pretty damn good line-up if you ask me. I think we'd need another big man but still pretty damn good.

I'll be praying tonight that Magic somehow pull off all these trades. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

DA could be back in O-Town!!!
T-Mac will look like a poo-poo head if he leaves and we get this lineup...

If we get Darrell back, and sign another veteran, Tracy should consider staying...

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">In anticipation of getting Francis from Houston, the Magic also have talked to the Washington Wizards about a deal involving point guard Gilbert Arenas and former No. 1 pick Kwame Brown. Francis played his college basketball at the University of Maryland, and he would give the Wizards a much-needed public relations boost</div>

There is a point guard, and a promising big man...

LOL that is hilarious, How would you get Francis and Mobley to trade for Allen and Butler without trading Mcgrady to Houston [IMG]

I meant like just if they sign Darrell, and another veteran from the free agency(perhaps a center), Tracy could stay. No Allen or Butler here...hehe <u>But</u>ler...I'm hilareous...

    Lineup

    PG: Darrell Armstong
    SG: Tracy McGrady
    SF: Grant Hill
    PF: Dwight Okafor/Gooden
    C: some veteran center guy

    Or

    PG: Darrell Armstong
    SG: Tracy McGrady
    SF: Grant Hill
    PF: Gooden
    C: Okafor

Then maybe Garrity, Bogans, Gaines, Stevenson, on the bech unless they get traded...

    I'm going to bed...

I don't think DA can be a starter at this point in his career. He's better off coming off the bench and playing 20-30min/game. He'd wear down by Feb. if he was our starter. He had his best years for us coming off the bench.

Why should we send Mobley AND Gooden for Butler? I mean, come on, he had a nice 1st season, but the numbers went down this one...

Mobley for Butler would be more than enough...

Yea, I was thinking that too. Maybe Mobley and a 2nd round draft pick or something. Or Gooden straight up.

I don't think we should trade Gooden. The guy has a chance to show what he's made of. Armstrong would be nice though with his leadership abilitys but I don't think he can be his old self.

I agree with Tim and Sergio. Why give up Gooden, doesn't seem smart to me. Mobley and a 2nd hopefully would do the job.

They could just start him, then often substite him with Gaines or other point guards we may pick up in the draft/agency. That is unless they sign a good point guard like Barry...

I'm still thinking that Arroyo will sign here. He's a local boy and he will get all the starters mins and he won't have to be in Stockton's shadow, instead he'd be in Tyronn Lue's shadow. Much better.

We need to get rid of Juwan.
    We need to keep Drew.
We need to get Darrell back here by any means necessary. Doc Rivers thought he was too old... and he went out and played great when Baron Davis was hurt... and he scored his career high last year.

I agree he is a good young player. He doesnt get paid nearly as much as howard does and he performs much better than howard does and has shown more potential and is younger. If we were to do a trade with the heat (not sure if the contracts would work out) but it should be howard and mobely to the heat. For Butler and possible someone like brien grant since howard and mobely's contracts would not be able to go to miami for just butler straight up.

Howard is in the Rockets deal, so there's no way to trade Juwan to get Butler.

Howard will be the downfall of the Rockets which is why I don't see why Tracy is thinking going over there with him. He will do the same thing he did for us and just bring cancer towards to team. Yall wait and see.

I would trade Juwan for Ramos(7'3 2nd rounder) and filler.
