<div align="center"> </div> <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Orlando Magic's search for a new head coach has led them back to a familiar place. Two league sources told ESPN Insider Chad Ford on Monday that the Magic will hire Brian Hill as their new head coach. Hill coached the Magic during their heyday years from 1993-1996 and compiled a 191-104 record during his stint. He is the only Magic head coach to ever lead the Magic to an NBA Finals appearance. The team also flirted with Flip Saunders, Eric Musselman and Chris Ford but in the end, felt that the experience, discipline and familiarity with the organization made Hill the man for the job. He should be a popular choice with the fans in Orlando and bring a different type of spirit to the organization. The hiring of Hill might be the first step in helping fans forget the last few dark years and start remembering the golden age when Hill, Shaq and Penny were on top of the world. Hill is currently an assistant coach for the New Jersey Nets. </div> <div align="center">Source</div> Talk about history repeating itself. I really like this selection. But I doubt Francis can work under Hill's system. The Princton offence just isn't desgined for players like the Franchsie.
Man is the search going to end one minute I heard Flip was a GM/Coach then now I hear Hill is the coach but yet I need to see on T.V. and on headlines that Hill is the coach lets hope he does a good job but i would rather have Flip in my opinion.
Good thing wiesbrod retired, he is one of the worst gms i have ever seen. the magic should have fired him.
bplld, As impossible as it sounds, he was still a better GM then our old one, John Gabriel. Gabe was awful. He wasn't that bad, he had some questionable moves, but at least we got 3 guys for Tmac, instead of him just walking this year. Also he made a very good move by trading so that we could draft Jameer. I really don't like this move at all, yes he is the best coach that the Magic have ever had, but I just want some new blood as the Magic coach. I would love Mussellman, Hill is probably my 4th choice behind Mussellman, Saunders, and Silas.
