Sorry I couldn't make a preview, I was busy today. This should be a good game and you guys can talk about it in this thread. Hopefully we can get Dwight into this game since he hasn't done much so far this season. I think we will need to stop Gilbert Arenas and Antawn Jamison since those are their main scorers. I predict a Magic win, 86-83. GO MAGIC!
With 10:14 left in the first quarter, the shot clocks and main scoreboard are not working. The score was 2-2 when the officials noticed the problem and the game is still delayed due to this. EDIT: Problem fixed and Dwight just had a nasty dunk over Jamison. He was fouled on his way up and just knocked down the free throw. Dwight has come out strong and already has three points and a crazy block at the start of the game.
Dwight and Stevenson had nice games according to stats. I don't get the games so I am sure someone who saw the game can clarify just how good they played. On the other side the Magic Lost.....
Stevenson had a nice game according to stats but this guy is awful if you watch him. His defense has been horrific at times and he makes some stupid decisions when the ball is in his hands. He makes sloppy passes and tries to hard to produce in the half court offense. He is great on the fast break but he needs to learn how to slow it down and improve his defense. Steve Francis played great like usual and I was very impressed by Tony Battie. He was great on the boards and played aggresive defense inside the paint all night long. With him and Dwight down low, the Wizards were relying on their shooters to score. I was very disapointed in Hedo Turkoglu. He had a couple of threes and put up some nice stats but he was a defensive liabilty all night long. Granted, he was playing an All-Star forward in Jamison but it still didn't seem like he was giving 100% on both ends of the court. This was a hard loss but I guess we can't be too disapointed in the way our team has played. We opened up the season against three playoff teams who all had successful season last year and we just aren't clicking right now. If we can get a win in Houston on Tuesday that will be huge for us. If we start 0-4 a lot of our players will lose confidence. We need to get a win and prove that we are still a decent team that can grab a playoff spot near the end of the season.
