<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">New Orleans Hornets center Jamaal Magloire signed a three-year contract extension shortly before Wednesday night's season opener against Atlanta.

Magloire, in his fourth NBA season, became a starter last season. This season was to be the last under his previous contract. Under league rules, the Hornets had until Friday to sign Magloire or allow him to become a free agent at the end of the season.

The 6-foot-11 Magloire averaged 10.3 points and 8.8 rebounds last season while leading the team in double-doubles with 24 and blocked shots with 111. He was 12th in the league in rebounding last season</div>

Very wise decision by the Hornets to sign him to more years...They would be in serious trouble without him.

Very good move. He had that game saving block against McGrady yesterday in the final seconds of regulation.

Very good move. He had a career night against the Magic on Thursday. He is going to be a very good player.
