The WW division is in a bit of a tangle, too.

Ty Woodley (two wins) isn't booked. Neither is Demian Maia (four wins). You know DFW wants to get Johny Hendricks back into the title picture but he is booked to face Wonderboy at UFC 196 next month. If Thompson wins that fight it'll be his sixth in a row.

Is the timing good to let Lawler, who has been in a bunch of brawls over the last three years, take six months or so off?

    What's your preference?

But does DFW really want Hendricks back in the picture until he proves he can make 170 at least two times before arguing for a shot again?

I think Woodley seems like the reasonable next contender. I really don't want to see another rematch with Condit. I want Condit/Hendricks II if Condit doesn't retire.
