On 9/5/1906, the first forward pass was thrown. It was St Louis Univ against some college in Illinois (?). I leearned this listening to the Dan Patrick show earlier today. Keith Olbermann then asked Dan if he knew threw it? DP: no KO: Jeff George DP: Did he complete it? KO: No. All kidding aside, can you imagine everyone running the same offense. Oh wait, a few years ago didn't everyone run the WCO?
Three yards and a cloud of dust! Some old-timers (those older than me, yeah, yeah, yeah) think that the forward pass ruined the game. Those are the same guys who think that today's players are wimps because they don't play both ways.
