Some people just need to face the fact that he is retired and doesnt need to come back. Sure he is the greatest, but he doesnt need this. He will be in the Hall of Fame in a few years, so I fail to see why people are so anxious of giving Jordan credit as if he was playing, even though he retired. The ultimate honor you can get as a basketball player is to be in the Hall of Fame and he will undoubtedly get that. Some people just need to get out of the MJ era. There are alot of talented players in the NBA that deserve to have their name on that ballet, besides him.

Every great legends needs a perfect ending to their careers. Jordan should've had it seasons ago. He had the closest thing to having a perfect ending to his all-star appearances last season by almost winning the game for them. No need to ruin it more. He can make an appearance like be a judge for the slam dunk contest or something.

The perfect ending for him would have been the jumper over Bryon Russell, but everyone knows how that turned out. But most legends don't go out in style. Most people don't know where many HOF's finished their careers. Though it's more common in baseball all the time players end their career in an unfamiliar jersey. Willie Mays, Babe Ruth, Jordan, Pistol Pete, Robert Parrish, Ewing, Hakeem, etc.

That's because the legends, for the most part, just don't know when to quit. They think since they are some of the greatest to play their respective sport they can keep playing and playing with no repercussions (sp?). A lot of times these guys just need to realize that they are old and can't possibly contribute anymore to the game in terms of playing it so they need to step aside and let the young guns lead the way.

I agree. Look at Ali's current state. He should have stopped boxing well before he did.

However, with players like Jordan, there are unwritten rules among the other players concerning him. For example, he will never be fouled hard, and I believe that they go easier on him on D. This isn't just speculation, I've read this in books written by NBA players such as Charles Barkley.

It would be purely pointless to bring him back for the all star game.Nothing more needs to be said on the matter

That's BS people. You want someone else to tell you when you are finished and should quit? Why not keep going as long as you can, it is the love of your life. They should not just pack it up because they don't play like the used to.

Stubborn fans, support these guys for giving us years of entertainment.
