Malone Will Be Wearing #32, Good or Bad?

    Malone will be wearing #32 on the Lakers, good or bad thing?

    I don't really like it, the shirt is retired for a reason, to honor one of the greatest players ever.
    Malone is also a great player, but he earned his status with Utah, not with the Lakers.

    Where did you hear this?

    All I heard was that he might wear #32.

    I heard Magic gave his clearance for Malone to wear #32.
    No official source though, because Malone hasn't even signed with the Lakers yet...

    BAD.. how can that asshole get to wear that number.. all the stuff he said about Magic in previous allstar games..pshh like I said I had lil respect for the Lakers but I didnt like em as Much when Magic Left.. eff this if Malone wears 32 I offically will HATE the Lakers...

    its just a number ,man ,like "it means a lot to me" ..its blown out of proportion and takin toooo serious.....really its just two digits and that shouldnt make you hate lakers ,whatever about other things

    i agree.. the number was retired for a reason. it's awfully nice of Magic to give him permission to wear it, but Malone should offer to wear a different number

    Malone should wear 33 or 31 32 was retired for a reason...honestly i dont even like malone...

    33 was already retired for Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. i think if Magic is fine with the mailman or wairing 32 then it should be good. unlesss Magic has a problem with it then Malone should have to right to wear the #.

    You will hate the Lakers because one of their players let another one of their players wear a number... :roll:

    This is all within the franchise, there is no logical or sane reason that anyone could hate the Los Angeles Lakers if Magic Johnson lets Karl Malone wear #32.

    [​IMG] that is stupid though. why dont the bulls just give KIRK HEINRICH number 23!!!!!!!! maybe if Marcus banks turns into a crazy playmaker and three shooter he can have larry birds number!! theres a reason they retire numbers genius

    At the end of the day it is all up to magic...if he wants malone to wear it..what is the problem?

    good point J-mac, i doubt that malone will wear #32.

    dee was trying to find any reason to hate the lakers, and this is a reason, so it's all good, lol.

    true true... but to me it just doesn't feel good...
    #32 is Magic's number, and it should've stayed where it belongs, hanging at the top of the Staples Center... IMHO

    I got a question fo ryou what if you were a player in the NBA and a player says to you I dont wanna play with you in an allstar game because you might get a cut and i dont want you to bleed on me... your number gets reitired and then the asshole wants to wear it?? I mean I wouldnt hate the Lakers it just a Jest but Id be pissed as hell..

    I'm not sure if Malone has really said that, but if he has... Magic probably understands his point of view and respects Malone, that's probably why he wants him to wear #32...
    Magic is not a person to take revenge with something like this...
    And for what I know... Malone didn't ask for the number, Magic has offered it to him...

    Malone is one of the best players in NBA history, this guy could break the all-time scoring record, he should wear #32 if he can...

    What? You are making no sense.

    There are two differences between Hinrich and Banks vs. Malone.

    1) Malone has been in the league for 17+ seasons
    2) Malone is the 2nd leading scorer all-time

    Yes, there is a reason they retire numbers. However, if the guy who's number is retired wants to let another player wear it...it's his choice, genius.
