Maloney interested in Booth-Munroe unification bout

    FRANK MALONEY is already planning his dream fight of 2011 – a world championship unification showdown between friends Jason Booth and Rendall Munroe.

    Both are bidding to become world boxing champions in the coming weeks.

    Booth (35-5) challenges Canadian Steve Molitor (32-1) for the IBF world super-bantamweight title at Houghton-le-Spring’s Rainton Meadows Arena on Saturday September 11.

    In October, Leicester bin man Munroe travels to Tokyo to challenge Toshiaki Nishioka for the WBC 8st 10lb belt.

    Maloney said: “Jason and Rendall are very close and have said they would never face each other, but if both had world titles the financial rewards would be too great to ignore.
