Just to make this perfectly lovely story even more charming, police say that they have determined the dead dog had also belonged to his girlfriend. No word on whether he"d been grooming the dog before the incident, though. I don't know what the point would be in making it up. The reason they put something stupid like, "got his freak on" in it is because it's a section dedicated to weird articles. If it were a serious section, then you'd have a point. There's enough weird people in the world to make this believable to me.
