the handles, the post moves, the rebounding... things he wasnt known for out of BC, he's improving right in front of our eyes. i know some of you might want to trade him cuz his value is so high but i dont want to let him go, he can be a star

He's got the tools, alright. It's only a matter of him figuring out how to use these tools; building the often talked about basketball IQ. He's a smart guy, so I have little doubt in my mind that he can learn the game. I think he's a bit too goofy and awkward for fantastic dribbling, but the midrange, and post up can come. As for rebounding, he can out jump just about anyone if he's in good position, but I often see him pushed out of position by players who are better at judging where the ball will land.

LOL at trade talks about Sean Williams. Am I missing something, are we going to win championship this season? Because, there is no point in trading Sean for a young prospect, but only for a proven scorer. But come on, Nets need 5 proven scorers to have slightest hope of advancing past 2-nd round. So, to all traders of Sean: let him play and let him be a Net!

What trade talks? Sean leaves, I'm no longer a Nets fan.

There are no trade talks involving Sean Williams...the last one I heard of was about a month into the season in regards to a J.O. deal.

I'm referring to some of our fans, who are so eager to include him in any deal just to bring some retiree to the Nets.

I would trade Sean Williams before he gets caught smoking pot again and he is untradable.

This obsession over Sean Williams is sickening. The personal attacks when I didn't even mention the Celtics are also sickening. The pot thing was a joke...I'm a BC fan and a Sean Williams fan.

But you guys seem to think he's some sort of hall of famer.... He's an excellent shot blocker, could be one of the best all-time and a decent rebounder. He doesn't have an offensive game whatsoever and without Jason Kidd he would score like 4-5 points per game. His offensive game is dunking....stop trying. Please it's just unrealistic expectations to put on the kid.

You're right. I'm no longer fan of him. I'm now rooting for Big Baby to eat Rajon Rondo.

you claim you watched him in BC if he were to finish his 1st college season he would have been a lotto pick, he has a jumper, athletic ability, actually has smart defensive I.Q. .. why the hell do you trade that. I'd rather pair him 3 - 4 yrs. down the line w/ a star post player on this team. And P.S. you came in here w/ the personal attack first so don't go there.

75% of his shots, and 77% of his points are not from dunks. NEXT

67% of his points are from inside/close, 21% of his points are from the free throw line.

So roughly 12% of his shots are from outside of 3 feet. NEXT

No. Hell no. The "Jason Kidd's getting old let's push all our chips into the pot" era is over.

This guy is not going anywhere. Jeez. No.

I was hyping him up as a sophomore in college. And in December of 2006. At one point he was averaging 9.5 blocks per.

    Here's what I said

    03-11-2006, 01:49 PM
"Set a school single-season record with 63 blocked shots in 2004-05; blocked three or more shots in each of 10 games.

    http://bceagles.collegesports.com/sp...ms_sean00.html

He's got a fu*king amazing future heading his way...

He's a sophmore in college now..

He tied some career highs vs NC State earlier in the double overtime thriller..he had an amazing 9 blocked shots i believe..and helped along with craig smith lead the team to victory"

    12-29-2006, 06:56 PM
"he shouldn't jump to the draft next year and wait until after he graduates so he can be a high first rounder in the 08 draft

imagine a player like him with a full 4 years of college under his belt?

    19 points
    10 rebounds
    13 blocks

Sean Williams had a triple-double vs. Duquesne Thursday night.

    7.5 points per game
    7.5 rebounds per game
    2.5 assists per game
    9.5 blocks per game

    in 9 games

the numbers are only gonna get better"

Reflecting back on this..it really didn't make sense that the numbers would get better but maybe they can. Sean Williams is NOT a huge offensive threat though. I don't understand where you get this from? At Boston College he showed no signs of an offensive game and no signs of the chance to develop an offensive game. Honestly will he be anything more than a shot blocker that can pull down a fair share of boards a game? Be honest here.
