Illegal searches are still illegal aren't they?

Good question. This won't do it, "self-proclaimed Constitutionalist," .

This won't either, "unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm,".

On the other hand, what the fuck was the dude doing hauling that armament around and making himself conspicuous?
He maybe testing his constitutional rights and fucking with the police. Sounds like fools work.

Seems they used him having a police scanner as reason to search his car. Considering that anyone with a smart phone can download a police scanner app this sounds flaky.

On the one hand, it seems like this dude was planning something major.

On the other, I fail to see how he "attempted" anything.... and what was the unlawful use of a weapon? It seems like they're just trying to find something to pin on him because they're afraid of what he's planning. I totally get it. I understand why they're freaked out, but you can't arrest someone unless they broke the law. They need to prove that he actually was planning something. Owning guns and police scanners are not illegal in this country.

Fuck this guys rights! Nothing good whatsoever can come from him having all those weapons driving around our streets, NOTHING! I served my country and shot those weapons.... only harm can come from him being loose with his hands on that shit. Sorry, it's how I feel.

Awesome that people who served their country have no respect for the rights of the public. Maybe he wanted to be there to save the cops if someone ambushed them.

I mean, he is clearly crazy but he looks like someone who would want to be a cop.

If we are going to ignore people's rights just kill the Nazi with the tattoos in the other thread now and save the world some grief.

I read the story and saw a crime right away. One time the cops were going to talk to him but he left. Within a few blocks they pulled him over for a "traffic violation" which really means they made up something. That sounds like it has to be some kind of crime.

I'm not saying that this weirdo wouldn't creep me out if I were the cops. The illegal search is the problem.

The first story says attempted assault on a public safety officer and the second says attempt to commit a felony. Huh?

This nutjob is getting a taste of how cops can do whatever they want and twist some laws to fit whatever they think he was going to do into an actual charge.

That pretty much reinforces what blm is saying doesn't it?

It certainly does. My question was what the narrative would be in here if he were black. Everyone here save HCP thinks the guy got a raw deal. I truly don't think that would be the prevaling notion of he were black.
