I remember reading an article last summer that as part of the AIG sponsorship deal Manchester United could only sign English players. Has anyone else some across it?
All i know is that Vodafone must be kicking themselves. Paying out big to withdraw their sponsorship because they didn't think that the team was drawing in enough attention to make their sponsorship viable. HAHAHA lets all laugh at Vodafones prediction!!!
i heard manutd had to target english players but could buy foreign players as well, but had to be the right person.
So Vidic and Evra are English now are they! they can sign anyone they like as long as Fergie thinks its right for the club...also i work for Vodafone we didn't pull out the man utd deal because they where going no where we just get more money out of the champions league deal u mug!
