For anyone who didn't hear Mangini on Mike and Mike this morning (ESPN Radio), he was shady, as usual, dodging most questions with vague answers. However some interesting comments were made. I'll be paraphrasing...When asked about the switch to the 3-4 or sticking with the 4-3 he said:"We'll tailor our defense week-to-week in order match up best against our opponent." And when pressed further he continued "We'll have have both the 3-4 and the 4-3, whichever we use most is what is working best at that particular time."When asked about the draft, he dodged answering anything on the 4th overall pick, but did say on drafting for defense:"It's important for players to be versatile. If a player can play 2 or even 3 different positions, that will of course increase his value."
the second idea is a very Belichick way of thinking, guys played so many differet positions under him
I think they go with D'Brick or Mario at the #4 pick and one of the OLB/DE tweeners at #29. I'm guessing it will either be Bobby Carpenter or Manny Lawson.
