renchman Marc Farry survived a late scare to capture his second title of the season in the Cannes Mougins Masters where Des Smyth fell away badly in the final round. Farry, who co-organised the inaugural European Senior Tour event at Cannes, was on course for an easy win when he took a three stroke lead over Gordon Brand Jnr to the 17th. However his victory parade almost turned into a horror show after he hooked his approach into bushes. The 51-year-old was forced to take an unplayable before scrambling for a double-bogey to reduce his lead to one playing the last hole.
