<u>May 19, ProFootballTalk.com</u>:Although Lions defensive lineman Marcus Bell denies that he filed the complaint with the NFLPA regarding impermissible contact during minicamps, we've confirmed that Bell is the guy who blew the whistle on new coach Rod Marinelli.

Also, reports that defensive end James Hall and defensive tackle Shaun Rogers joined in the complaint aren't accurate. Hall signed off on the complaint in his capacity as the Lions' union representative. Rogers simply had nothing to do with the complaint.

I say ship the pussy to Miami!

He was following Player's Union and NFL rules. How does that make him a pussy?

If anything, it just makes Marinelli look like an idiot.

Gotta agree - as the union representative he needs to do his job. Its a minicamp - Marinelli should know better.

Kenn here's a tidbit from Lions insider Tom Kowalski. I also heard they've done it this way with the Tampa defense for years.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Tom Kowalski)</div><div class='quotemain'>"I'm telling you, Marinelli is an interesting guy. He calls this type of thing 'elevator music' because it doesn't matter. I don't think he is the least bit surprised that someone filed a grievance. I think he was expecting somebody to file a grievance.

"He found out what that lockerroom was about. I was very impressed talking with people, because he's talked to a ton of people. Not just around the Lions, but around the league and everywhere. He really got a temperature of what was going on in that lockerroom. He knew what he was walking into. He knew he was going to ruffle a lot of feathers when he walked in.

"I'll bet you he's more surprised there weren't more guys who filed a grievance. I don't think he's surprised. I think he's already moved on. He doesn't care.

"The one thing about this guy is that he's not trying to fight the players. He's trying to make them better... (Marinelli) is not looking to cut guys, he's not looking for bus tickets out of town, sending messages, none of that. He's just trying to find the guys who are going to get on the same page. And he's going to be patient finding those guys..."</div>

Bell's not the Union Rep, James Hall is. Bell's a pussy because he denies he filed the grievance. If he was a man he'd stand up and say I did it.

    Marcus Bell's a PUSSY!

Spoken like a lions fan blinded by the desparation to finally have a good season, and angered by the loss of practice time for the new staff that will prevent a good season.

It takes a lot more courage to say something when the rules are being tramppled than to sit back and let it occur....tell you what, why dont you ship all your talent to Miami now and save Nick the trouble of fleecing Millen for it later....in other words, send Roy Williams down south, hes the only player you have that could even make most other NFL teams....

LOL ... Nice try Beef! Roy's not going anywhere. Nicky Boy can continue to try to improve the Fins with Lions scrap like Stockar McDougel and Girlieman Harrington. I'd guess Ol' Nick is eyeing up the lazy underachiever Dan "Big Daddy" Wilkinson and Marpuss Bell.

We've seen what a new Manager has done with the Tigers this year. Rod Marinelli is our Jim Leyland with the Lions.

You and the whole world will see on Thanksgiving.

It seems the Lions attract average players, throw big $ at them, and then their careers die. Damien Woody - case in point. Thats a disassembly line even Henry Ford could be proud of. ROFL.

As For Wilkinson, he is unsuited for that POS Defense known as the Tampa cover 2. He would be a decent backup NT in Miami, but, Nick can only do much charity work by reviving careers killed in the Motor City.

Remind me again, what will see on Thanksgiving? If memory serves, the Lions usually get beat like a drum on that day.

The Lions have a winning record All-Time on Thanksgiving, but are only 5-5 in the last ten years.

The kicker is they dominate AFC teams. The Lions boast a 13-6 All-Time record against AFC teams on Turkey Day.

    Soon to be 14-6.

Considering they get homefield for every t-day game, not really that impressive to be 5-5 over last 10 years

Zach also failed to mention that the Lions are 0-2 against the AFC during the Millen era and 1-4 overall during the Millen era. The Detroit Pussy Cats haven't gotten within three touchdowns of their last two Thankgiving Day opponents. Yeah, I'm real skeert of these world beaters.
