Is anyone else afraid he's going to turn into another Alexander? I was really excited when we first picked him up, but recently he got demoted to the #3 receiver position. He isn't playing because he tweaked his hamstring. You know, whether you like Moss or not, he plays even when he's hurt. Robinson should realize that all he needs to do is be on the field and be a reasonable threat. He's going to get all sorts of single coverage. So why sit out camp with a minor hamstring injury.
I think Nate Burleson was a steal for me in the 12th round. You watch for him, he's going to have a huge year. He'll be the backup to Moss that the Vikes have been looking for since Carter Left.
I'm a huge fan of Burleson. He's a very smart receiver and will get a lot of passes thrown his way. I would agree, for a 12th round pick, Burleson was a steal.
Not really a steal because there will be plenty of receivers that don't get drafted that will be as good as burleson and better...thats right about where his caliber should drafted. Receivers are deep every season and this season its just ridiculous.
I thought Alexander was going to be a good pickup for them. Robinson looks somewhat appealing too, which is exactly why I am concerned about him.
Alexander was going to be a good pickup, but he was a huge bust. He got to Minnesota and ended up on the injured list most of the time. I'm beginning to think that FA WR's don't work in Minnesota's system. Its a very complicated system with a lot of option routes for the receivers. Most receivers are used to being told to run a strict route.
