Mario Williams, Devin Hester and Veron Davis will enter the 2006 NFL draft. As a Wolfpack fan, i hate to see Mario Williams go. He is gonna be a top 10 draft pick. Hopefully he falls to the panthers at the 32nd pick

Abdul Hodge (Iowa LB) has really impressed me. I hope he is on the board when the 'phins pick.

Im hoping that the panthers draft either a really tall WR or a great RB. Deshaun Foster is in the last year of his contract and he might be gone. Stephen Davis is going to probly retire, which will free up around 3 or 4 million in cap space. I really hope panthers draft LenDale White, He is a great physical back.

Drew Carter, a 2nd year reciever, has looked great. He has tons of speed, and would be great in the slot next year. Ricky Proehl is retiring so i think panthers have to go after a WR. Keary Colbert could play good as our #4 reciever, which would give us a good WR core.

Panthers also need a DT. Buckner is getting older, and Kris Jenkins hasnt been healthy. LB core should be better if Mark Fields recovers from cancer.

Williams is a lock for the top 10. He'll probably go to Tennessee at pick #3.
Davis is a solid first rounder and might go anywhere from top 10 to late first round to a team like Carolina.
Hodge is probably going to fall to the 2nd round so Miami might be able to land Cutler in round 1 and Hodge in round 2.
Hester is probably a 3rd round pick.

I know Carolina got Shelton from Louisville. He should be a big power back like Davis. I think Foster will stay in Carolina and be the primary option at RB.

Where did Drew Carter play college ball? I want to say Ohio St.

Greenway gets all the press at Iowa but Hodge, who will not fall to the 2nd round is the man. Forget Cutler, I want Miami to draft Hodge.

I am salivating at the thought of Hodge and Crowder causing havoc for years to come.

Hodge at best will go in the late part of round 1. Reasoning is because of the depth at LB this draft has. In any other draft Hodge would be a lock at round 1. Miami could trade down and grab a couple extra picks and also take Hodge. Most likely though Hodge goes early round 2.

AJ Hawk, Demeco Ryans, and Chad Greenway are the top outside linebackers.
Paul Polunzky, Ahmad Brooks, and Abdul Hodge are your top inside linebackers.

There is a strong possibiblity that if Brooks and Polunzky enter there will be at least 5 first round linebackers taken. That's a very high number. Hodge could be a 6th with a solid combine.

Yea Drew Carter played for Ohio State. He was on IR last year. A big reason why the panthers let Rod Gardner go is to get Carter some playing time. He has only been in three games and has 5 recs for 103 yards and a TD. He would have had another TD, but the corner knocked him down and he drew the pass interfenrence call
