We are not talking about the endzone. There is another site which we alot of us migrated from that shall remain nameless.

I, too, just check out the news. The last time I checked the forums were all but empty.

It did not surprise me Marion was released. He was old and was being paid too much. He had lost a step or two & it was time to hand the job to Freeman.

Other than the long play last yr on MNF against SD (I believe), McKnight never lived up to reputation. Given the chance, Tolver, Simmons, or Newson will be a better WR than he was.

I havent seen a cut yet that I thought Spielman was wrong....Marion made the pro bowl, but not on the way he played, he made it on reputation....Arturo Freeman is a natural FS and hes ready to start right now, so it was a natural to release the much older and more expensive Marion.....The Dolphins continute to jettison dead weight and lock up thier best players while generating excessive cap room....Im very impressed with Spielman to this point, and I look forward to him building the team over the next few seasons and picking a new coach after this season....

Beef; It sounds to me like you want to keep that bag on until Wanny gets canned even though Jay may be gone here in a few days. ha ha!!

I only have one issue with Dave Wannstedt, and that is his undying loyalty to Jay Fiedler....If Feeley wins the job(I doubt he will, since Wanny makes that decision) I will feel alot better about the whole situation...

I wondered about Jay saying all he wants is fair chance to compete for the starting job.

We all know that as long Feidler & Wanny remain that Jay will be the starter. Loyalty is great but should not get in the way of winning games. Dave prefers Jay because he knows he can stick to that vanilla brand of offense that he is more than content with running.

If it were up to me, I would not let Dave in the War room on draft day. That way Spielman & Wayne can focus on

3 FA's the Dolphins should pursue; 1) D Woody (Pats OL), 2) Rueben Brown (Buffalo OL) & 3) Winfield (Buffalo CB). The jets don't have anyone worth getting IMO. Madison & Fletcher could then be traded for 5th rounder each minimum.

My prediction is that Feeley will out play Fiedler in the 1st 3 preseason game but Fiedler will be named the starter....shortly after, one of the Dolphins defenders will "accidentally" injure Jay and put him out for a few weeks....Feeley will start the regular season and never look back, by the time Jay is able to return, the world will see how much better Feeley is and Wanny wont be able to give Jay the job back...
