Is there any way we can possibly get him in a trade. Maybe Marion for Juwan Howard and both our picks for this year plus one from next year. Why would the phoenix suns do it: they need to get rid of Marion to resign bell and diaw. Why they want those two over marion...I dont know but the rumors are around. I don't think we have enough people with the right contracts to do it unless we trade Stro + juwan + 8th pick for marion but i think that would be giving to much.
Phoenix would laugh at any attempt for Marion from the Rockets. They have a good team with great chemistry, the last thing they'd want is to trade away a core, key player like Marion -- who can really do everything in and around the basket. Not to mention he can shoot well (even though his shot is weird..). Honestly, I think Raja Bell had a good season as a defender, and Boris Diaw is a good player FOR the Suns, I do think Marion carries a greater value to Phoenix, and if Marion was up for trade, every team in the NBA would be looking (IMHO, ofcourse).
Juwan Howard is nowhere near the player Marion is. Phoenix might not even want the first overall pick for him, so it'll be a pipe dream. That said though, Marion at the three or four beside Yao would be orgasmic. Having a versatile four who can shoot the three, play some defense and slash to the hoop would make a very interesting team to watch and take some pressure off Yao.
Ya before I posted...I knew it was far off, but The suns are in a situation where they can keep 2 good players for an amazing one and with the league shifting towards 5 good players rather than 2 allstars, I see them trading Marion. Maybe not to the Rockets, but to another team.
I don't think it's possible but if we did try to make a trade Juwan wouldnt cut it because he doenst fit well in a system of running and gunning....age kills they say..so the more suitable big men would be Stro...but still even that I doubt it, but hey..its good for discussion
Actually, there were reports of him on the trading blocks for that reason of wanting to keep their other players (Bell and Diaw) but they would never take on Juwan Howard's contract, he is owed too much for too long (three more years). Expiring contracts or draft choices I think would be the only way to do it. Don't think we have enough to offer nor do I think they would want to give it to a rival in the west.
Bell is under contract for 3 more years. It's Diaw and Barbosa that they need to offer long term contract because they are in the last year of their rookie deals. Phoenix won't do this trade. The rumored trade between the Bulls and the Suns are more realistic than this.
I got one. We draft JJ Reddick (because that is obviously who they are after with Seattle's 10th pick) Houston Incoming Marion Phoenix's 1st round pick (#27 I think?) Phoenix Incoming JJ Red Luther Stro BAM! Our front line up is Yao, Matrix, T-Mac!
OKAY, Then we trade him for Shard. Marion is worth so much. We can trade him to Dallas for Terry and Howard I think. I could come up with thousands of trade scenarios that include Marion. Hmm do you want Carter in Houston? But we need to get Marion first
VInce Carter?? No Way that might force Mcgrady out of town again but then again they've made up but no way are we able to get him.

If Phoenix really wants Redick and if that pick from Seattle is so readily available, why won't they just "buy" it themselves?
Well maybe Swift and the two first rounders. Stro would fit good in Phoenix and now that will give Phoenix 3 first round picks.
How about Radmonavic on the Clippers. This guy would be PERFECT for Yao. He's a shooting PF who can stretch the defense out. Marion is outta the question tho, unless we're giving up Tmac.
