<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The fact is Blount should have flourished in an up-tempo offense. The few times he used his speed to outrun an opponent for a layup made for beautiful basketball. But ultimately he tried his team's patience.

Word around the league is that Ainge didn't want to give him the six-year deal last summer. The call allegedly came from above. It was stated here at the time that going to the contractual wall for Blount was shaky, because there were bigger problems if the Celts didn't think Kendrick Perkins [news] would be a better option in time. The club will try hard to move Blount to a place where he'll be happier, but his 15 percent trade bonus and his performance this season have made it exceedingly difficult.</div>

Should we give this a shot again? Blount has made it clear that he would want to play for Philadelphia particularly because he will be reuniting with his former coach. And playing alongside Marc Jackson would make a very good backup frontcourt. However, the bad part about this is that he has a 15 percent trade bonus, which would hurt us financially because Webber contract was a killer and to add that would make things worse. Now if he can live up to the expectations and be a very solid contributor that 15 percent trade bonus could possibly be worth it.

So should the 76ers pursue Mark Blount once again, or should we attempt a trade in exchange for a draft pick and acquire a young guy or maybe even pick up somebody in the Free Agent pool.

I just know the 76ers will be looking at him once again. Once King re-signs our core young guys, he will be looking at the bench and realizing how we have no real legitimate big man that can rebound and block the basketball. We can't expect Bradley or Davis to fill in for that void.

No,his contract is really bad looking.Id rather have a draft pick or Ruben Patterson who wants out of Portland.
I don't want Blount to take minutes from Dalembert,I hope Samuel's gonna play around 36 mpg and show game like he did against Detroit. If we take this contract of Blount then we're in a contract slump for years.Id try and trade John Salmons for a 2nd rounder and draft a giant.

Even though his contract is less attractive I think he could be a good player for the 76ers if they were to get him. because they need more depth and frontcourt help.
