Who would you want if T-Mac is traded? <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">To be perfectly Blount, Magic The Magic have competition for free-agent center Mark Blount of the Boston Celtics. It's coming from South Florida. The Miami Heat are interested and might have a leg up. Blount lists his primary residence as Boca Raton. "I just love the warm weather there in the summertime," he said. Heat prez Pat Riley is warning Blount about the cold fronts that sweep through Orlando in August.</div> Imagine our team with Mark Blount
Keep in mind that there are no guarantees that Blount won't resign with Boston. His agent recently said that not only did Blount decide that he wants to stay in Boston, but also that he was already talking to the team. Boston has to decide if Blount's worth his asking price, which estimates have in the 7mill/per range. "The Plan", as called by Boston fans, of Danny Ainge is also a factor as we have no idea if he fits into it. However, Keep in mind that if Miami doesn't play a strong team game with the ability to get the ball to Blount in transition when he's near the hoop, he's not much of a scorer and has below average hands, even for a big man.
Woah, I live in the same small town as Mark Blount... if he signed with the Heat we could carpool to games (I wish), lol. But in all seriousness, i'd love for him to come to Miami. He could give us the size we need inside and actually has the abilities to back up his size, unlike the other 7 footers on our team. I do not think we should actively chase after Mark Blount right away though, because other guys who would fit much better into our plan will also be free agents, I believe Erick Dampier will be one.
