Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Mark "The Hammer" Coleman slogged through a three-round war with Mauricio "Shogun" Rua at UFC 93 in Dublin on Saturday. Within the first five-minute frame Coleman looked visibly tired and grew more exhausted as the bout wore on. By the end of the third round Coleman leaned against the cage to stay upright but was floored by punches from Rua, leading the referee to stop the fight. Afterward Coleman was exacerbated, physically hostile to the referee who declared the fight a TKO loss for Coleman, then deeply depressed backstage, where he admitted he hadn't trained for the fight.

“I didn’t have any money for a training camp before this fight. Those things cost money man and I just couldn’t afford it.”

Coleman took home a $40,000 gift from the UFC for his performance (in addition to his undisclosed fight pay) so if he plans on fighting again, maybe next time he'll have the proper preparation.

I had read that Coleman is having $$ problems and hard as it is to believe, maybe the FOTN bonus was to help Coleman out a little.

You have to wonder how much $$ he was being paid by Pride if he doesn't have any now. That or he's got issues with taking care of his money. With 2 daughters I hope it's not him gambling it away or something worse.

His reaction Saturday was actually subdued for him. Here is the (NSFW) video of Mark Coleman losing his marbles post-Fedor fight:
