Heisler's always been ascerbic (especially when talking about Donald Sterling), but this time his target is the Blazers:

He goes on to quote Canzano. It's not pretty.

When they talk about you, they fear you.

As for ripping on GO for his injuries, I find it ironic he would beat his chest about Andrew "Bowie" Bynum, who has suffered two catastrophic knee injuries in two years and who had another one in HS. I'd take Oden's knees over Bynum's any day of the week.

LOL! Did he forget to mention Bynum's injuries?

He sounds just like some chick posting at the Laker forum. Goes by the name of BlackMammaAss or something like that. Same crap.

Laker fans overrate Bynum so much.

Like Maxiep said, when they talk about you, it's because they fear you. So Heisler can talk trash all he wants, it just means the Blazers are getting to him and the Lakers.

The only time Phil Jackson (or any of his lap-dogs) talk shit about the people of Portland, is when they have to do that to try and distract people. During the 2000 season, Jacksons clone army was strong. Anything he'd say, they'd repeat.

Although to be honest, every fan base does this to an extent. We all make fun of Laker fans as though they're all front running wanna be's. But you don't see our coach being the one leading the charge.

This is just stupid. Ariza was pounding his chest, and the Lakers have lost 7 straight games in Portland.

So much for just "another night". I also wonder where the Ariza defenders went since Rudy has now missed 2 games due directly to Ariza's flagrant 2.

"With Portland finishing 15th, 12th and 10th in the West the last three seasons, Lakers players are more like, "Really? I slept through most of those trips."

Will someone tell this idiot that the Lakers missed the playoffs one year and then were one and done in the playoffs the next two years? Yeah, the Lakers were totally on top of the basketball world while the Blazers were rebuilding. Good one broseph.

Lakers fans man, I'm telling you. Not so smart and think the NBA revolves around them, when in fact they're the same soft ass team as last year.

If Lakers players are more like, "Really? I slept through most of those trips", (7 consecutive beatings in Portland) that doesn't say much for Phil Jackson as a coach.

Plus Kobe Bryant stated back in November that he had circled the first game in Portland on his calendar.

So Heisler doesn't even know how the star of the team he cheers for feels about playing in Portland.

Bynum has set the world afire while Oden has been sidelined... oh wait.

Back in the day, when the Celts were the Yankees of the NBA, I always rooted for the Jerry West Lakers to beat them. I had deep respect for Magic and Kareem. I can't pinpoint exactly when the Lakers became the L*kers....but this article is a good example as to why.

What has their team done to deserve that level of arrogance and sense of entitlement?

If you think about it, does anyone remember truly hating the Bulls when they won 6 of 8?

I hated when we played them, but pulled for them in the other 5 Finals.

I actually hate the current Bulls more BECAUSE of that Bulls team. Even though I liked that Bulls team.

What's interesting (besides that I seem to be keen on writing one sentence paragraphs) is that there has never been a Lakers team that I have ever liked. Not a single one. But I liked the Bulls teams in 91, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97 and 98.

    They moved to Los Angeles.

Because of Michael Jordan. He was so much fun to watch.

I'm sure the fact that the Bulls were playing the Jazz, Sonics, Lakers, and Suns had very little to do with your rooting for them, eh? :devilwink:

I would have to say that the Bulls of that era were one of the most professional and classy teams in the history of the NBA. They won six championships in the 90's, but it never seemed like they were rubbing it in peoples faces. It was just a matter of business as usual for them. I think the Spurs are somewhat similar, but not quite as classy, and not nearly as marketable.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Pippen, too. Basically, Jordan and Pippen were a relatively perfect tandem and played so well on both sides of the ball. Watching those two was like a perfect gear in motion. Stockton and Malone also had a perfection together, but it was much more mechanical. Jordan and Pippen were more fluid and dynamic.

I suppose it's alright to get a different perspective, but I'm more curious why they printed this piece of trash in our paper this morning. If I wanted to read crap from everyone else's lame ass writers, I would go online and hunt it out. I don't need that shit in my Sunday Oregonian. And I'm aggravated they would print it in there.

Also, fuck that guy. I had to laugh at his mediocre attempts to mock Oden. Bowie? Really? Gimme a fucking break.
