C.J. Wilson has been the Los Angeles Angels' best starter this season and a model of durability in his two years since leaving the Texas Rangers.

He still hadn't beaten his former club until he got a little help from his surging teammates Friday night.

Mark Trumbo hit a three-run homer and Wilson pitched into the seventh inning of the Angels' 6-5 victory, knocking the Rangers out of first place in the AL West.
