Nov 9 - Now in his pivotal third year, Marvin Williams seems poised to assume his role as one of the Hawks' main scorers and the one player, other than Joe Johnson and Josh Smith, capable of taking over a game.

"Listen, our team has to win, so I don't think anybody is walking around here taking any of this stuff personally," said Williams, whose Hawks (2-2) hit the road tonight to face an undefeated Boston team. "I think if you look around here, lots of guys are stepping up and playing better than they did a year or two ago, mostly because that's what we have to do in order for this team to be successful.

"I feel like this is a big year for everybody, not just me. That's the mentality we all have. I know that's the mentality I have, personally." -- Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Marvin has been playing some great ball. Reminds me of last year before his injury. I think as the year goes on, he will just get better and better. Having guys like Joe Johnson and Josh Smith also helps. When Acie Law gets better, Marvin should be getting more shots.

I like reading that quote. In the past his body language seemed to suggest that he didn't have any passion for the game and didn't care if they won or lost.
