I know I saw this too, well I don't know what to say. Mash can still produce but he's just been a burden this year, maybe he feels like hi body can't get back to where it was before and if thats the case then he should. It says part of his decision is because of how the organization handled his injury, but he should have been in New Orleans not Florida all season long. As long as their's cap relief.
^Yeah, he still playes quite good, but he could end up as a player with a injury list place for the rest of the season after some weeks in NBA, that's the problem, he can easy get injured, alot easier than other players, so is he worth trying or should team pass him? That's the big question, even himself knows it.
Wow, I never really expected this. Mash was playin the best ball of his career just a couple years ago. This is sad, both for Mash, the Hornets and fans.
It's always sad to see such good players go, the likes of him and Finley survive in the NBA at old age....not forgetting Sam I Am and Spree of course they're the best for longevity, *coughcoughkevinwillis* It's going to be bad for the good and workhorses of the Hornets, namely B Dizzle, PJ and Magloire. The team's already been having its troubles especially when B Dizzle is gone. Those two work together really well on the offensive end. I feel it would mostly affect the team as the team, rather than as fans.
Early retirement with injuries. Well I guess if consistently gets injured, what is the point to continiously trying to play only half or even less a season. But it's still not as bad as Grant Hill, but can't blame the guy for considering it.
The bright side for the Hornets is that, if Mash retires, they'll have one of the weaker records in the Western conference and will have a chance at a decent lottery pick. That ought to help them build around BDiddy and Cat.
