I prefer the old days, two games were handpicked in advance, and then we could see properly constructed EXTENDED HIGHLIGHTS, leaving no time for endless analysis, countless slo-mo action replay, and loads of time spent on general chit-chat! We, the viewing public, can make up OUR OWN MINDS whether it was a good game or not, whether it was a penalty or offside or whatever! If I want to expertly study the so-called "Main match" (Man United v Bolton Trotters, or whoever it happens to be) then why not give it a proper half-hour treatment? There is too much idle chit-chat, analysis, Goal highlights (how can you judge a match on goal highlights) these days, it's just like all these TV singing contests, and ice-skating and whatnot - let us hear their supreme singing voices, do away with all this "How do you feel" / "Do you think you can win?" / "I hear your mother is in the audience" claptrap!! Bring back a "2-match format" MOTD!!
Agreed they Talk about shit for too long. Thats why i actually prefer MOTD2 because it seems to be a much more relaxed atmosphere and they have a laugh.
I like the new format. Its fair to all teams and the anaylis is okay at times. It was borin when only two games get extended highlights when other games last 1min.
