Don't want any player on the roster who wants to be somewhere else. I like Thybulle but his minutes can go to Rupert now.

Yeah, if Dame stayed, you match it. Now? Not so much. Good luck to Matisse.

Non tax payer MLE is nothing. You should match this.

A good rotational player for 10 mil starting is a bargain. He also is a good culture guy to have on the team.

I think Portland matches. It’s a reasonable contract that can be included in a trade later if need be and he would be a nice vet to tutor Rupert, Shaedon, and Kris. Just stick him on Shaedon during practice and training camp and that can help Shaedon elevate his game.

    its like a 3yrs, 35 mil. Or maybe 4 yrs 45.

That is an absolute bargain with the new cap figures coming over the next few seasons.

It's 12 million starting for 4 year so ~55 million.

Not sure he will get the full amount, but it's certainly a lot more than "nothing"

Not even certain he's an every game backup. Might be third string some games. That's a lot to pay for a guy who isn't a clear rotational piece.

We need tradeable contracts. We need elite defenders. Match please.

Its less than 10% of the cap. Bargain for a defender who showed he has an improving 3pt shot and is still 26 yrs old.

I thought the MLE was going up 30% with the new CBA, but apparently it is for the TPMLE, the non-tax MLE is only going up 7.5% - in this case, it probably makes sense to match it.

They're going to spend up to $12.4mil on Matisse? Good for him, bad for the Mavs.

Another great point. I think this is a nobrainer. Surprised at the immediate reaction here to simply let talent walk

The non-taxpayer MLE was projected to be $12,400,000 for the first year. Is that still worth having going forward? If he continues to make '3's at the level he did when he came here, I would say yes. Contracts in that range are great future trade pieces. But with Dame requesting out, I'm not sure they will want to spend that kind of money on him when they may thing they have something similar in RR for much less expensive.
