This is the thread for either celebrating or venting about Matt Flynn. Mississippi St. will be his first regular season start so there is a bit of inexperience in that respect, but he is a 5th year senior. He is the most important player on this offense. He has some big shoes to fill.

Dude has like the easiest job in college football.

Either hand it off to Keiland or toss it to Early.

Matt Flynn can run a lil bit. Don't be surprised if he does some designed QB run plays. I agree he doesn't have to do anything spectacular this season, just not make turnovers and run the plays.

He looks rusty. Or he just sucks.

He hasn't really done to much this game. He's run a lot and while its been pretty productive I dont like my starting QB out taking hits like that on a regular basis.

I think he looked good. Atlien thinks he sucked but he doesn't have to do what JaMarcus could do in order for us to win. Next week is the real test for Flynn. But like Dissonance said...don't go running around to much on the VTech D.

I didn't say he sucks, he looked rusty to me. Also I want to see them give Keiland Williams more touches.

It might not matter, though, Virginia Tech is good.

Flynn played really well vs VTech. If he was a Junior people would be riding his jock a hell of a lot more.

LSU kicked our ass in every aspect. I'llbe shocked if they lose a game. UF might be toughest cuz of their offense. That'd be pretty intereting actually.

Might end up being your 2 favorite teams; LSU and OU for the National title again.

People are sleeping on how close the majority of Southeastern conference games are, it's not a cake walk. LSU has a tough stretch of games in the month of October. Florida, at Kentucky, Auburn (do people outside the SEC know how big this game is?), and then at Alabama the first week of November (all of these games are in a row too, no place for error). I do not think they will go into Atlanta undefeated.

OTOH, I think Florida has a little bit of an easier road. But they still have to play at Kentucky, at South Carolina, at LSU, as well as a home game versus Auburn and the cocktail game against Georgia. Auburn's been a disappointing team, but I think they are going to play spoiler at the second half of the season. I wouldn't dismiss them.

Are you forgetting someone? USC is not going to lose to any of their Pac 10 pansies. Like, that's not even my opinion. It's not up for debate. It's damn near fact.

Oh, it's up for debate. Since their dynasty started, you know the only teams they seem to struggle with or lose to over the yrs, are those "Pac 10 panises?" In '06, they struggled with 4 of them; Washington St, Washington, UCLA & Oregon St. 2 of those they lost. This great team, they were this supposed lock for the National title, no one could beat them, and yet no one saw it coming. There are no facts when it comes to college football.

I still say they lose 1 or 2 games this season.

Flynn looked like complete doodoopoocrap against Tulane. It wasn't completely his fault because the offensive line was straight porous. I had always thought of Flynn as our starter but I'll admit that I was calling for Perrilloux by halftime.

This coming from the guy who had LSU and Michigan in his BCS championship prediction? :-)

BTW - I told you about LSU looking beatable. SEC is no joke. Every week there is somebody that can knock you out. And Auburn is looking up now just like I had them.

lol, I didn't saymyNC title picklike it was a fact though, like you with USC not losing.

Yeah, you did. And proved me wrong when they beat UF at their place. But this could be LSU's one scare or slip up.We'll see about Auburn. All I know is, this college football season has been insane already.

Im so happy with Matt Flynn and his leadership. There was a quote before the game about how Matt Flynn felt about sharing QB duties with Perrilloux. He said as long as it works and they keep winning hes fine with it 100%. Thats really good to come from a guy who waited so long to be the starter. I hope he can have some success in the NFL in some capacity.

Wow...Matt Flynn looked pretty terrible tonight. Granted the Oline was pretty bad...especially Carnell Stewart. But Flynn defenitely threw some really ugly picks. I wish Perrilloux wasn't such a dumbass and could start thinking straight because we need his running ability.
