According to the NFL Network, the Detroit Lions will retain Matt Millen for the upcoming season....this assures two things....#1, all fans of NFC North teams may rejoice, as the Lions will desend into another lvl of NFL hell...and #2, Calvin Johnson will be the 2nd pick of the draft....and if the Raiders happen to take him, then Dwayne Jarrett goes #2....
HOW IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE? Not that I'm complaining, but come on... The Lions would be better off hiring Mel Kiper to be their GM than retaining Millen. WTF?

WR & QB are okay IMO for Detroit, its RB that I'd be concerned about. 3) Will Martz be around? I guarantee he won't even consider Atl. Arizona just might be too tempting.
hahaha this is actually one of the funniest things of the night.... idk what the owners of the Lions are thinking, i kind of reminds me of the Knicks in the NBA with Isiah... except i think worse if thats even possible. wow i guess its another year of the cellar for the Lions... i almost feel bad for lions fans
Heres whats going to happen....Marinelli's effort will effect the Lions a bit and they will go 6-10 and because they "improved", Millen will get a new 5 year deal....
I'd like to bottom line this thread & add something clever about Millen's tenure and the Ford's retaining him but can not sum it up any better than Carlos Mencia might, "Dee. Dee Dee."

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>What is his record as GM of the Lions?</div> 24 - 72 Here's an article where Millen says that he'll never quit: http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/artic...394/1004/SPORTS What it doesn't say, though, is that he'll "never be fired."
