LIKELY DRAFT POSITION: Early second round. COMPARATIVE UPSIDE: Dan Majerle COMPARATIVE DOWNSIDE: Casey Jacobsen ROLE PROJECTION: Designated shooter off the bench. POSITIVES: Walsh is strong and has easy NBA 3-point range. He can both catch and shoot the deep ball or take a dribble or two and let it fly. He is big and muscular enough to create some separation between himself and his defender. Walsh has the mentality to take and make big shots in pressure situations. SHORTCOMINGS: Walsh is not overly athletic or quick. He will experience a learning curve as he discovers how to be an effective defender at the NBA level against quicker players. He is not adept as a ballhandler against pressure, something that will have to change if he is to have a long NBA career.
