The Dallas Mavericks have signed forward Sasha Pavlovic to a 10-day contract. The deal Monday comes after All-Star forward Dirk Nowitzki has missed seven consecutive games with a right knee injury. The Mavericks are also without Caron Butler, who is likely done for the season because of a torn tendon in his right knee. Pavlovic hasn't been in the NBA this season, but has played 452 games over seven seasons with Utah (2003-04), Cleveland (2004-09) and Minnesota (2009-10).
