Rick Carlisle confirmed on Sunday night that the Dallas Mavericks will keep Mike James for the remainder of the season. "He's done a really terrific and solid job for us," Carlisle said. James, whose second 10-day contract expired after Sunday's win, has averaged 2.9 points and one assist in nine games for the Mavericks while providing a stabilizing presence at point guard behind Darren Collison.
