<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Mavericks were fined $25,000 for their cartoon video that poked fun at the Sacramento Kings before Game 3 of their first-round playoff series.

The NBA office announced the punishment Monday. The fine is the largest this season by the league for questionable skits about opponents.

The Utah Jazz was fined $15,000 when its mascot staged a fake telephone conversation with Karl Malone in which Kobe Bryant was singled out. The Cleveland Cavaliers were fined $5,000 for using their mascot to mock former Cavalier Ricky Davis when he returned to Cleveland after getting traded to Boston.

In the Mavericks' animated video, which was well-received by the fans at American Airlines Center, several Kings were shown in compromising situations, including Doug Christie being led around on a leash by his wife. </div>
