The Dallas Mavericks would be interested in obtaining Minnesota Timberwolves shooting guard Kevin Martin if he agrees to a contract buyout with the Wolves, according to ESPN's Tim MacMahon.

Martin's name has been heavily discussed in trade rumors for several months, but the market for the 33-year-old appears thin. He has a player option for next season at $7.4 million, but teams would apparently prefer he take a buyout so he won't affect their 2016-17 salary cap should he choose to exercise it.
