<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Dirk Nowitzki is getting Punk'd, but not by somebody dunking on him in an NBA game. The Mavericks' star will be featured on an episode of the MTV series Punk'd, which debuted its new season Sunday night. Details are being kept under wraps about Nowitzki's show, but teammate Michael Finley has a role in the skit. The show features set-up gags that catch celebrities in situations that show how they handle themselves in aggravating or embarrassing situations. Nowitzki's scene was filmed in Los Angeles in January, and, according to Mavericks staffers who were involved in the taping, the episode is full of laughs. </div> Source
It's actually on right now, on MTV, catch it! Supposedly, from the little preview, the little kid who is with Ashton sees Dirk and asks Dirk to autograph tons of items.
haha. its funny when he realized he got punkd. he faces was like omg. damn but he was mad nice. he signed everythin . wow he mad nice. total opposite of carmelo

Yup, I respect Dirk even more after this. Even after everything he still signed everything and just grinned and took it. Thats the way I think a star should be. They are doing what they love every day and are good enough to be globally recognized for it, the least they can do is be nice to the fans who make them who they are. for Dirk
Let's face it, Dirk is one of the very few athletes who would do this, mainly because all of the athletes are self-centered. They care about nothing, and nobody but themselves and their money, plain and simple. It was nice to see Dirk sign the stuff even after he found out he was punk'd, that's how it should be.

It may be a fact that some athletes are self centered and care for themselves only, but I wouldn't even say its anywhere near the majority. If we are going by "Punk'd" only, the ratio of self-centered basketball players to generous ones would be 1 to 1.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting JWohl:</div><div class="quote_post">something like this shows what kinda person celebs really are.....Melo is a jerk and dirk is a nice guy.....</div> well, think about it, what would you do if you were put in melo's situation, would you get mad? would you stay calm? what would you do? i bet you wouldn't of stayed calm. i bet you would of gotton mad just like melo.
Saw it the other night. Pretty funny and yeah I guess it does prove how nice of a guy Dirk is signing all of the gear. I don`t know, something gets me about Punk`d that makes me think every episode is somewhat staged.
