and another trial by media starts.

the only actually proof of anything in that article is that he lied about his history, which is worthy of termination for sure, but holy shit id love for one of these accusations to be accompanied with some proof . in the current climate, just saying anything is enough for everyone to skew to their side. aint trying to defend anyone doing anything wrong, but its all fucked up these days - lawful justice needs to prevail. but for news orgs, printing anything like this these days is traction, so they fish where the fishes are.

eh thats an american thing, who knows if its fake, but at least qualify the story with both sides and attempt some unbiased journalistic integrity rather than just hyping up the OMG angle.

still, considering the state of things, siding with the loudest sectors is easier than playing the middle.

The reporter is going out on a limb, so that increases the likelihood that the multiple allegations are true.

To be fair to SI - they do reach out to the party that is being accused - if they decline to comment... that does say something, doesn't it? You can't make people talk.

isnt first thing a lawyer tells you, dont say anything?
and isnt it a right to not talk? or are we now inferring using rights is 'saying something'?

How do you know they DID talk to someone?

im not sure where i said they did (im assuming were talking about the accused and a lawyer?) or are you talking about SI? tbh i dunno, all im saying is if the accused said nothing, that doesnt 'say something'. unless its inferred/impressed/some other word for 'seems like maybe possibly could' which isnt exactly sound judicial practice.
