Mavs Trading Thred

From the Magic thread, Sonics thread to here [IMG] Post some trades that you would think help the Mavericks.

You know the rule... NO Duncans, Garnetts, Shaqs because we all know that wont happen.

Elden Campbell
Corliss Williamson
Filler

For

Antawn Jamison

Please? [IMG]

Would help both teams.Dallas need some bangers inside while Pistons need that extra scorer.Campbell although he is older now he can still post up and score inside.Corliss is still one of the best 6th men in the NBA.Is a good low post player that likes to go to work on bigger guys in the post while he is normally successful by doing so.

It would really help both teams in all areas

Dallas problem so far this season is no role players...Corliss is the prefect role player for any team.

As much as I dont want Jamison to go, I like this one. I know Campbell can still bang in the post/rebound, and I agree Corliss is the perfect role player, I mean even though Detriot lost to Boston in the 2002 Easten Semis(my God i wanted Boston to GO DOWN!!) He was one of the main ones who stepped up and Kept the games close.

Yo pc whats up?

Come on we cant trade Finley, I know hes been of, but rember what he did 2 nights in a row, hes trying to prove to everybody that downs him. I think hes going to stay in Dallas. I think Cuban said those were the only 3 that were untradeable.

Used allnets Idea...

Detroit trades:
C Elden Campbell (6.4 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 0.7 apg in 16.5 minutes)
SF Corliss Williamson (8.1 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 0.8 apg in 19.0 minutes)
SG Bob Sura (2.9 ppg, 1.4 rpg, 1.6 apg in 12.4 minutes)

Dallas trades:
C Shawn Bradley (2.6 ppg, 2.2 rpg, 0.1 apg in 9.7 minutes)
SF Antawn Jamison (15.7 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 1.0 apg in 29.7 minutes)
PG Travis Best (3.1 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 1.9 apg in 13.4 minutes)

How this trade works for both teams:

Dallas:
Elden Campbell- Gives Dallas a real center, and that post presence/defence that they truely need. Even though Bradley is the true center, I just dont think Dallas is his place to be.

Corliss Williamson- I think he could work well in Dallas offence, hes a good spark off the bench, and can put up points when needed. Although Dallas doesnt need another scorer, they can use a reboudner/defender off the bench.

Bub Sura- Just a Filler in the trade, could help take most the pressure off of Finley, and be a good spark of the bench.

Dallas New Line up:
PG Steve Nash/Tony Delk/Bob Sura
SG Michael Finley/Josh Howard/Bob Sura
SF: Dirk Nowitzki/Corliss Williamson/Marquis Daniels
PF: Antione Walker/Elden Cambell/Danny Fortson
C: Elden Campell/Danny Fortson

=========================================================

Detriot:

Antawn Jamsion: I would hate to see him go, but he can take some of the rebounding slack of Big Ben, hes a good offensive rebounder, and he could be the offenisve in the paint that they have been looking for.

Travis Best: May be considered a filler, but with injuries hitting Billups and Atkins, he can be the backup PG that can help Detorit out, being that if they do get injurd again, Best has a good health quality IMO.

Shawn Bradley: He dosent fit in with Dallas, maybe working with Ben Wallace he can build up to the player he was thought out to be. Should take off some of the pressure off of Ben, hes good in the post and a good shot blocker hes just not a scoring threat.

Detriots New Lineup
PG Chauncy Billups/Travis Best/Chuky Atkins
SG Rip Hamilton/Lindsey Hunter/Travis Best (played the 2 once in DAL)
SF: Tayshun Prince/Antawn Jamsison/Rip Hamilton/
PF: Antawn Jamsion/Ben Wallace/Zelcko Rabraca
C: Ben Wallace/Darko/Milicic/Zelcko Rabracra

Pistons Fans what do you think??

Feedback would be appericaited..

Shawn Bradley, maybe he'll be a decent center in place of the pure shooter, Jason "not good at anything else" Collins. Williamson? Can't believe it, he's a great sixth man, he's been playing so well. This might not be good for Jamison, both teams have too many scorers, he'll probably get nervous, either that or never get a chance period. I don't like the looks of this trade....not at all.

here is my proposed mavericks-cavaliers trade

From Real GM:

Quote:

Dallas trades: SF Antawn Jamison (15.6 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 1.0 apg in 29.8 minutes)
PG Tony Delk (6.1 ppg, 2.2 rpg, 0.8 apg in 16.4 minutes)
Dallas receives: C Bruno Sundov (2.3 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 0.0 apg in 7.3 minutes)
C Zydrunas Illgauskas (14.3 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 1.5 apg in 30.2 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -5.1 ppg, +0.8 rpg, and -0.3 apg.

Cleveland trades: C Bruno Sundov (2.3 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 0.0 apg in 7.3 minutes)
C Zydrunas Illgauskas (14.3 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 1.5 apg in 30.2 minutes)
Cleveland receives: SF Antawn Jamison (15.6 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 1.0 apg in 32 games)
PG Tony Delk (6.1 ppg, 2.2 rpg, 0.8 apg in 24 games)
Change in team outlook: +5.1 ppg, -0.8 rpg, and +0.3 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED

Why this works for Dallas:

Zydrunas Ilgauskas: 7 foot 3, decent defender who has been playing bad after all of the things that have happened this year. Maybe when on a contender, he would pick up his game. Also, he is big enough to disrupt things in the middle of a zone and could guard the bigger men out west if needed to.
Bruno Sundov: Dallas would pick up another big man in this trade, giving them two 7 footers that would at the very least could fill space in the middle.

Why this works for Cleveland:

Antawn Jamison: Not fitting in well with Dallas, would be a desperately needed scoring option for lebron. A 6 foot 9 forward with ability to do anything he wants, he would be a good 3 for the cavs.
Tony Delk: A REAL point guard and a 3 point sharpshooter to take some slack off of the rest of the team. Would be getting more minutes with cleveland and would probably put up some nice numbers.

I think this trade would "get rid of" 2 players that arent fitting in well with their respective teams (Jamison and Z) with 2 other players that seem to fit what the team needs. IMO this would be a decent trade for both teams, but i would like some feedback.

Thanks

Here's my trade.

Antwan Jamison and Tariq Abdul-Wahad for Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Ira Newble. The Mavs get low post scoring and a younger version of Abdul Wahad.

If the Mavs really need toughness and banging inside why is Eduardo Najera not getting any minutes?

About 10 per night over last 10 games. He is tough interior defender and a banger. Josh Howard is stealing his minutes and is playing well enouhg to have earned them. Jamison seems like the odd duck out with Walker palying well too. With Jamison gone they could play Najera more....What about Jamison for a guard?

Brent Barry and Jerome James (or Calvin BOoth) for Jamison works under the cap. It would give Dallas a legit 3rd guard. Walker could stay at forward and Barry can easily play the '1' and the '2' better than tony Delk.

Seattle gets and interior scoring threat to go along Rashard Lewis and Ray ALlen's perimter scoring and frees up minutes for Flip Murray.

Yes, I know Najera is injured. Look at the numbers BEFORE he was injured. There is no reason for him not to get 20 minutes a game on a team that lacks interior defense and toughness.

Sorry, I don't have anything specific but I think a trade along these lines would work out well for Dallas. Ilgauskus would fit in a Mavs type offense, he could be a huge threat like he was last year if he was used right, Cavs just isn't the right team for him. On the other hand, Cavs get Jamison, another scoring threat to play with LeBron. Like I said, maybe not this exact trade, but something along these lines would come out nice for the Mavs.

I don't agree with Ilgauskas being good for the Mavs. First, I don't understand why so many people (not just on this board) believe Dallas needs an offensive post presence. THEY DON'T HAVE TROUBLE SCORING AS IT IS. Dallas needs interior defense; something that can contain the West's best bigmen in order to give them a shot in a playoff series. Ilgauskas's physical coordination (or lack thereof) isn't going to meet that requirement, and his poor conditioning in an up-and-down Maverick offense would only compound his liability on the court.

How could you say that!! It would be a crime to get rid of Fin Dawg. Look forget about George we need someone who can play not good but great defense. Fin Dawg can play some d but we need someone who can block. And not get dunked on (Bradley!!! [IMG] ) Now the piston trade would be good. But I like Anti-Jamison. So I'm not sure about that.

[quote name='WhiteManCanJump']here is my proposed mavericks-cavaliers trade

The trade would be great for LeBron. Would be a good 2nd option. But then they wouldn't have a big man would they, except for Battie or Boozer? It would be a good replacement at center. So lets get this straight.

Dallas' new lineup.

Pg- Steve Nash
Sg- FinDawg
Sf-Walker or who? Josh Howard could play it.
Pf-Dirk
C-Illquaskis or whatever.

What about M.Daniels, he deserves more time than Josh Howard.
