Re: Mavs' whining paved way for Heat to take the title It's funny, because he admits that there were terrible calls made, yet in the same breath says the Mavs shouldn't complain. Utterly hilarious. I can't fathom why the NBA would put their worst refs in crucial games.

The mavs choked, especially guys like howard and terry but the officiating was also another reason why they lost. If the refs played the series equally, the mavs would've won in 6.

Not to ref the game but to do what David Stern told them to do.
Re: Mavs' whining paved way for Heat to take the title I believe the refs did want the Heat to win as they did all year. Wade and Shaq bring a lot of media hype which brings in a lot of money. The irony of Dan Crawford being the ref of game when you know the mavs are 1-13 with him as the ref. Steve Javie doesn't give the home team the benefit of the doubt as is proven in game 2 against San Antonio.

You make it seem like Stern brought all the refs to his house and had dinner and layed down all the rules to them. It didn't happen like that and don't make it seem like i said that.Wade's calls have gone beyond superstar treatment, it's disgusting. It's worse than lebron's calls against the pistons, that says something. The fact that they call such tick tacky fouls on one side and ignore other fouls on the other side makes me think that there's something fishy going on.You have yet to explain to me how on one side every foul is called whilst on the other side there all ignored.
Re: Mavs' whining paved way for Heat to take the title Do we need a bunch of threads about conspiracies, rigs, and whining.

The Heat went to the line because they were much more aggresive inside...Other than Daniels taking it to the hole in the 4th the Mavericks mostly shot jumpers.
Re: Mavs' whining paved way for Heat to take the title Bad calls didnt determine this series. Maybe if you guys just shut up and played, you wouldve won. Instead you made excuses every 5 minutes that you got raped, and that the NBA is rigged. Just shut up and play.
Re: Mavs' whining paved way for Heat to take the title BCB thank you for the post, thats exactly what I have been saying too. The Mavs just have been pampered by Cuban so much that they expect to get whatever they want. Also how can you say the Refs wanted the Heat to win the series, teams that are primarily jump shooting teams, like the Mavs, are not going to get alot of calls its common sense. Also, if you say that wades calls have gone beyond superstar treatment, what do you call the calls that Dirk got against the Spurs and the Suns?
Re: Mavs' whining paved way for Heat to take the title Wade got terrible preferential treatment. Michael Jordan treatment. Still Dallas should've won the series but those denying that the ref'ing was fair is rediculous. That said congrats to the Heat for getting the job done. I'm sure Heat fans want the credit for winning the championship but something needs to be done this off season on fixing the nba officials. Unfortunately as long as Stern is the commissioner I don't see this getting fixed.
Re: Mavs' whining paved way for Heat to take the title The rules had nothing to do with the Mavericks missing tons of jumpers late in the game...instead of bitching they should have attacked the basket but they didn't so they went to the FT line 14 less times.

Just because its the NBA Finals all the bad calls get magnified and everyone goes nuts when theres a bad call.

Re: Mavs' whining paved way for Heat to take the title I never said the mavs didn't choke but the only thing I'm talking about is how bad the refs are. Anyone disagree?
Re: Mavs' whining paved way for Heat to take the title I disagree. Anybody that plays basketball knows that the referees give more calls to the team that is more aggressive, and the more aggressive team was the Miami Heat.
Re: Mavs' whining paved way for Heat to take the title I think the Mavs could of done better if they didn't whine so much about every single call that didn't go there way.

Re: Mavs' whining paved way for Heat to take the title The Mavs should've stopped crying about it like pussies and made adjustments to the Heats gameplan. They spent too much of their defensive plan on Shaq. Wade was the guy they needed to target.
