Max Scherzer allowed two runs in the first inning -- and by the time he took the mound again, he had a two-run lead.

It's been that kind of season for the Detroit right-hander.

Scherzer won his major league-leading 11th game without a loss and Victor Martinez hit a first-inning grand slam to lead the Tigers to a 10-3 victory over the Boston Red Sox on Saturday night.
