He has stepped away from the low block several times for mid-range jump shots, and he even has made two 3-pointers in Charlotte's first three games. "I've always been able to shoot and find different ways to be effective," said May, the most outstanding player of the 2005 NCAA Final Four with national champion North Carolina. "In college, I was just more effective down on the block so I didn't shoot that much. Sean May has been great during Summer League, I wanted the Magic to get him instead of Fran Vasquez. One interesting stat I noticed is that May is averaging 1 three pointer a game off of 46% shooting, I don't know if that is just a one time thing or what, but that surprised me a bit.
