Considering how dramatically Mazda updated its Mazda3 sedan, a starting price that's only $245 more than the existing one should be a little easier for buyers to handle. The sedan with manual transmission will start at $17,740, including a $795 destination fee, and at that base price it still comes with push-button start, power door locks, remote keyless entry, daytime running lights and a USB port. The even bigger new feature is improved fuel-economy. Mazda says the models with the 2-liter engine and the six-speed automatic transmission will have an EPA highway rating of 41 miles per gallon.
