As unlikely as it seems, C.J. McCollum may have just passed Damian Lillard as our best guard. This guy is going to be a star.
No? He just set a personal scoring record in his very first playoff series. Lillard, meanwhile, has sucked for the last two months of the season and most of this series.
Some of you have the mentality of what have you done for me lately way too Much. It's one fucking game. Lillard scored 32 in game four.
Stotts is too old school. He doesn't know how to get space for guards to operate. Gotta kick him to the curb.
I play daily leagues and didn't pick CJ because he hadn't performed on the road. That cost me some money. Regardless, you should all be excited about the future of the Lillard CJ combo in the future. Both are good. Leonard off the bench looks good too. Thanks for being welcoming, and I look forward to visiting these boards again next year in the playoffs.
Lillard had Tony Allen on him. CJ had Calathes or Udrih on him and he took advantage. The Grizzlies decided to let CJ get his and stick to Lillard. With Conley, they could've guarded both and we would've been swept.
McCollum hit his shots and Lillard didn't. Lillard also had some horrendous turnovers and very ill-advised shots.
This topic is a fine, but I get an uneasy feeling that it will be a constant topic of discussion until it causes unnecessary tension between Dame and CJ. Hopefully they will ignore it.
