"Most NFL rosters are settling now that the draft is over, but a glut of veterans is still looking for work. Defensive end Adewale Ogunleye, center Kevin Mawae, linebacker Keith Bulluck, wide receiver Terrell Owens and quarterback Marc Bulger -- all former Pro Bowl players -- are still unrestricted free agents, while a handful of talented restricted players also have unsettled futures. But several league sources indicate there are several reasons for the lull and that activity will pick up in June. First, teams are trying to take a hard look at their free agents and rookies during workouts and mini-camps. Contact is prohibited, but coaches can project if those players can fill holes on the roster. If not, then they may turn to a veteran on the street." http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/bears/2245670,CST-SPT-sean07.article
