I certaintly do. I bet he'll be gone by the trade deadline if they aren't playing well (not counting injuries).
I think we'll keep him for the season. We're almost a sure thing for the playoffs and everyone wants to see what happens in the playoffs with Yao, Ron, and Tmac. If we fail again, then I'm afraid trading Tmac is just one of the many concerns. Who knows, maybe Rick will get the boot too? It's just unfortunate that we'll never get anything good for Tmac if we trade him. Not even a Tmac/Pierce straight up trade.
Unlikely, in my opinion. Morey will value his expiring contract for summer 2010 much more than whatever he could fetch this summer. If McGrady has a bad year, it's not like the Rockets will get a superstar in return.
If Ron has a good year, we'll bring him back. If not, he goes and we clear about $8 million of salary. Then TMac's $22 mil comes off the books in 2010 and we'll have some wiggle room under the cap, with the only big guaranteed long-term deals being Battier and Yao. Of course, we'll need to re-sign Scola that summer.
That does make alot of sense cap wise. If their is a team that gives the Rockets some young unproven talent and cap relief I am sure Morey would bit on it. I also agree a superstar in return is unlikely. I could see the Hornets trading someone like David West and Julian Wright for T-Mac and Landry.
exactly....plus many teams won't be willing to take on his contract, with his injuries, and lack of leadership..........tmac is just something we rockets fans will have to learn to deal with......it's difficult at times, but we must do it, lol
here's another take from tmac's blog posted yesterday, lol injuries or not, this guy is such a diva.........I believe VH1 will be honoring some time in the near future.
